 Prompt #2
Name three dreams you wish to seed for your future. Use sensory details (touch, smell, taste, sight, etc.) to help water your description. Consider the poem from before - what do you deserve? What can you imagine that you have yet to experience? Be greedy.

		<description>WRITING EXERCISE...

Prompt #1

What is a desire that you’ve had that went unfulfilled? What does it look like to acknowledge and mourn that desire?

“What unfulfilled desires are you holding onto today that came from those before you?”*

*Grateful to Ashley Jane Lewis for asking this so so important question.

~Dreamseeding in the imaginary* is not used here to represent what is merely invisible but a generative place. The imaginary of endless possibilities, where rage can be forged to power, where no one owns.
&#38;nbsp;~The imaginary is material!

~Dreamseeds/dreamseeding as a poetic and liberatory tool/influence for our desires.(&#38;nbsp;*as desires influence our intentions and actions.)

~OUR poetics as a seed to our futures.

*Thinking thought usually amounts to withdrawing into a dimensionless places in which the idea of thought alone persists. But thought in reality spaces itself out into the world. It informs the imaginary of peoples, their varied poetics, which it then transforms, meaning, in them its risks becoming realized.

— Édouard Glissant, Poetics of Relation.

We can also say along with Glissant: Dreaming dreams amounts to going into our space of the imaginary in which the visions and feelings are intentionally determined. Dreaming in reality spaces itself out into the world. Imaginaries inform peoples, their varied poetics and desires, meaning, through them, it risks becoming realized.

The Maschinenmensch is a fictional character in Fritz Lang’s film Metropolis, played by German actress Brigitte Helm in both its robot form and human incarnation.

She is a gynoid created by the scientist Rotwang. Named Maria in the film, and “Futura” in Thea von Harbou’s original novel Metropolis, she was one of the first robots ever depicted in cinema.
The Maschinenmensch has been given several names through the decades: Parody, Ultima, Machina, Futura, Robotrix, False Maria, Robot Maria, Roboria and Hel.

The intertitles of the 2010 restoration of Metropolis quotes Rotwang, the robot’s creator, referring to his gynoid Maschinenmensch, literally translated as “Machine human.”
